For more than 18 years Kim Tavares has been a trusted advisor to clients providing CFO and business advisory services to real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and established business owners in many different business sectors.

She began her career as a forensic accountant and certified valuation expert working alongside attorneys specializing in business valuation for buy-sell agreements, shareholder disputes and mergers and acquisitions.  She has also worked with family law attorneys serving as an expert witness providing litigation support and forensic analysis for dissolutions of marriage.

With years of knowledge valuing businesses in all sectors, Kim took this skillset and launched one of the first outsourced CFO companies in Southern California in 2008.

As CEO of PacWest Accounting Kim works closely with clients to strengthen their financial positions by reducing costs and better manage their working capital.  She developed proprietary technology designed to leverage clients’ data, improve the quality and timeliness of their financial information with the goal of reducing accounting errors that impede effective and timely decisions.

Over the past decade Kim’s primary focus has been in the real estate sector providing CFO advisory services including transaction due diligence, asset management, construction and property accounting.  She has worked with real estate investors to close over $500 million in real estate transactions.

She leads a team that executes day-to-day accounting from high level functions such as financial analysis on the sale or buy side of a real estate transaction and construction budget management to everyday full cycle accounting services.
